I'm so sore from yesterday. It feels like I got dryhumped by a rhino.

The T68 Firestorm Electronic Grip

I recently came into posession of the E-Grip for the T68 pistol by RAP4. Here's my review on the grip.

Upon receiving the grip, I did the most logical thing I could think of: take it apart. The grip panels are removable by two philips screws. The left-hand grip panel is the best access to the electronics, for battery installation or adjustments. It's immediately obvious as to where the battery goes, a standard 6LR61 (9V) battery is used. Three LEDs are visible through the grip and indicate the status of the grip: from top to bottom they are...

Red: Low battery light. For when the battery..is low.
Green/Red: Cycle speed. Green is approximately 7 cycles per second, red is approximately 13 cycles per second.
Green/Yellow/Red: Green indicates semi-automatic mode. One cycle per trigger pull. Yellow is three-shot burst mode, three cycles per trigger pull. Red is fully automatic, with constant cycling as long as the trigger is held.
It's interesting to note that when in semi mode, the bottom LED will be green while the top will be red. This does not indicate cycle rate, as the marker fires one shot per trigger pull.

Operation of the grip is very simple. One small button on the lower rear of the grip controls the mode. A single press will change between semi, three, or full auto. Holding the button for approximately two seconds will engage the cycle rate mode; for every press of the button you can select the low rate or high rate. Another two second push is needed to lock the selection; the marker will not fire without this confirmation.

A small DC jack is provided for bench testing, so you don't have to burn through batteries. The grip comes pre-drilled and tapped for a bottom line setup, which is nice. A single slide switch controls the on-off operation, and is located roughly where a mechanical safety would be.

Overall operation is impressive. The ease of use and variable options for the T68 Pistol are the grips strengths. However, for those who are used to the trigger frame shipped with the T68, you may be disappointed as the .45 grip is difficult to adapt to in comparison.

I wouldn't recommend the grip frame to anyone who is using the pistol as a stock pistol; the expense for the use of three round burst or fully automatic mode isn't justified by the relatively low capacity of the magazines or CO2 cartridges. I would recommend the grip for anyone using the marker as a primary, constant air, hopper fed marker.
